On April 13-14, Â鶹¹û¶³ joined together to celebrate the leadership of Andrew and Jeanna Westmoreland during the 8th annual Â鶹¹û¶³ Big Give. In honor of 15 years of servant leadership, 1,439 alumni, staff, faculty, students and friends, contributed $235,693 to endowed scholarships established by the Westmorelands in each of Â鶹¹û¶³’s academic schools.

Â鶹¹û¶³’s faculty and staff led the charge with nearly 60 percent of employees pledging their support for students and programs. The Â鶹¹û¶³ Black Alumni Association surpassed its campaign goal, generating $25,182 for scholarships and initiatives for underrepresented students.

In addition to joining fun gift challenges and giveaways, Â鶹¹û¶³ students shattered their campaign giving goal for the #JustGiveFive challenge. Created by alumni Chase Ezell ’88 and Keith Kirkland ’88, the challenge invited students to make a $5 gift to the scholarship of their choice. More than 160 students participated in raising $1,502 for scholarships.
