Twenty-three individuals have agreed to serve as members of the Âé¶¹¹û¶³ Presidential Search Committee. The announcement came from Board of Trustees Chair William J. Stevens speaking on behalf of a committee of former trustee board chairs that is charged with establishing the search process.

The search committee is comprised of trustees, faculty, staff, students and alumni of the institution. The members are:

Co-Chair Beth Thorne Stukes, Âé¶¹¹û¶³ trustee, corporate and philanthropic leader.

Co-Chair Tim Vines, Âé¶¹¹û¶³ trustee, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama Chief Executive Officer.

John Bell, Âé¶¹¹û¶³ trustee, consultant Oil Equipment Co., Inc.

Karon O. Bowdre ‘77, ’80, Âé¶¹¹û¶³ trustee, Senior United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. 

Hope Dawson, Âé¶¹¹û¶³ student, senior, Journalism and Mass Communication major, current president of Student Government Association.
