Âé¶¹¹û¶³ has scheduled four Women’s History Month events during March. Sponsored by Âé¶¹¹û¶³’s Office of Diversity and Intercultural Initiatives, the events are free and open to the public.

In celebration of International Women’s Day, the Critical Language Program hosted a March 8 screening of the film Difret.

The Student Government Association and the Âé¶¹¹û¶³ Film Club are sponsoring a screening of Suffragette March 9 at 6 p.m. in Brock Forum. A panel discussion will follow the screening. Two convocation credits are available to students for event attendance.

Omicron Mu chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. will host a March 13 event called “Celebrating Outstanding Women: Breaking Stereotypes and Redefining Success.” The event will honor Âé¶¹¹û¶³ faculty member Carol Ann Vaughn Cross and is at 5 p.m. in the Howard Room of Beeson University Center. Convocation credit is available.

A March 30 lunch and learn at 11:30 a.m. will feature religion faculty member Lisa Battaglia from speaking about women and religion. That event also will be in the Howard Room.
