Â鶹¹û¶³ is hosting an exhibit of artwork by middle and high school students from Birmingham-area public school districts. The works of the Visual Arts Achievement Program Juried Exhibition are displayed in the Â鶹¹û¶³ Art Gallery in Swearingen Hall. The exhibition is sponsored by the Alabama State Council on Arts and the Alabama Art Supply.

“The state show is a wonderful opportunity to highlight the extremely talented young people we have in our state, and it often encourages them to further pursue their art,” said Mary Ann Culotta, Â鶹¹û¶³ adjunct instructor in art who organizes this annual event.

There will be a closing reception March 12 at 3 p.m., where honors and awards will be given to students. The winner will compete in Montgomery at the statewide level.

The gallery is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
