Â鶹¹û¶³ alumni are invited to participate in two Birmingham events during January.
The Â鶹¹û¶³ Alumni Association will host an alumni pregame dinner Jan. 15 before the Â鶹¹û¶³ men’s basketball game vs. the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. Â鶹¹û¶³ Athletics Director Martin Newton will give an exclusive update on Â鶹¹û¶³ sports at 5:45 p.m., with the dinner to follow at 6 p.m. The meal is $8 for adults and only $4 for children 12 and under. The talk and dinner will be located on the 3rd floor east lobby of the Pete Hanna Center.
Afterward, alumni are encouraged to attend the men’s basketball game at 7 p.m. Tickets for alumni are only $5 with the promo code ALUMNI. Game admission is free for children 12 and under with the purchase of an adult ticket.
“We hope the event is a great opportunity for local alumni and their families to gather together in support of our men’s basketball team,” said Â鶹¹û¶³'s Director of Alumni Programs Molly McGuire. “We look forward to reconnecting with many alumni prior to the game, as well as cheering on the Bulldogs toward victory over Chattanooga.”
Alumni are also invited to a Brock School of Business mini-networking event, Jan. 20, 7-8 a.m. at The Heavenly Donut Co. in the Cahaba Heights area of Birmingham. A continental breakfast will be provided.
Kimberly Beiersdoerfer, owner of The Heavenly Donut, Co., is a 2002 Â鶹¹û¶³ graduate. With more than 11 years of event planning and marketing experience, Kimberly always dreamed of owning her own business, and was able to open her donut shop with her husband Brock in 2013.
