Ralph Gold, Âé¶¹¹û¶³ professor of exercise science and sports medicine, was a program presenter at the Southern District American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD) convention Feb. 16-20 in Greensboro, N.C.

As the Alabama state president-elect for, Gold made two presentations at the convention: “Challenges and Successes of Service Learning” and “Cross-Training: Is It Essential for Athletic Performance?”

“AAHPERD provides an opportunity to interact with other professors of like-mindedness from the other 13 states in the southern district and to collaborate with them on issues pertinent to health, fitness and wellness,” Gold said.

Gold first joined the Âé¶¹¹û¶³ faculty in 1986 and returned in 1995.
