Susan Hamm, a junior business administration major from Thorsby, was crowned Miss Âé¶¹¹û¶³ 2010 Friday evening.

Hamm, daughter of Beverly and Mark Hamm, will represent Âé¶¹¹û¶³ in the Miss Alabama scholarship pageant in June. Her pageant platform is “Children’s Miracle Network—A Smile for Every Child.”

A pianist, Hamm was named co-winner of the talent competition for her performance of C.P.E. Bach’s “Solfeggietto.”

Pageant finalists were Ashla Taylor, a junior education major from McCalla, first runner-up; and Maegan Carroll, a first-year pharmacy student from Trussville, second runner-up.

Katherine Fuller, a junior chemistry and biochemistry major from Briarfield, tied with Hamm in the talent competition for her piano performance of Sergei Rachmaninoff’s “Prelude in G minor, op. 23, no. 5.”
