Pi Kappa Phi men's fraternity took the coveted Sweepstakes Award in Âé¶¹¹û¶³'s 2009 Step Sing Feb. 14-16. Their act was "Open for Business."

First runner-up was former Sweepstakes Award winner Dudes-a-Plenty, an all-male group that gets together just for Step Sing. The 2009 act was "The Show."

Independent Ladies took second runner-up with "Home Alone." The group also organizes just for Step Sing and is a former Sweepstakes Award winner.

Step Sing is an annual student-organized competition that includes music, choreography and costume. It is considered one of Âé¶¹¹û¶³'s most cherished traditions, dating from 1951.
