A new Miss Âé¶¹¹û¶³ will be crowned Friday, Nov. 14. The pageant will begin at 7 p.m. in Wright Center Concert Hall.

Eight contestants will compete in talent, interview, lifestyle and fitness, on-stage questions and evening wear categories. The winner will represent Âé¶¹¹û¶³ in the Miss Alabama pageant in June.

Miss Alabama 2008 Amanda Tapley, who is also the reigning Miss Âé¶¹¹û¶³, will emcee. She will also entertain with vocal and piano selections.

Audience members will have an opportunity to contribute to the pageant philanthropy, the Children's Miracle Network.

Admission is $8 in advance or $10 at the door. Tickets may be purchased online at www.samfordtickets.com or in the Food Court in Âé¶¹¹û¶³'s Beeson University Center 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Nov. 10-14.
