Âé¶¹¹û¶³ debater James Radford of Madison was selected by the Commission on International Discussion and Debate to join this summer's American National Debate Team tour of Japan.

Radford advanced through a national multi-level selection and audition process to be chosen for the two-person policy debate team. The Âé¶¹¹û¶³ senior English major will spend July touring universities in Japan and participating in a series of debates regarding international politics and American culture.

Radford was selected on the basis of his Âé¶¹¹û¶³ debate accomplishments and skill, in addition to his broad academic and cultural interests.
