Birmingham executive and community leader Della Fancher was named Alumnus of the Year by the Âé¶¹¹û¶³ School of Business during its annual undergraduate awards ceremony May 9.

Fancher, president and CEO of Founders Trust Company, holds a bachelor's degree in business and a Master of Business Administration degree, both from Âé¶¹¹û¶³. She is founder and president of the Alabama Veterans Memorial Foundation, and president of the Cahaba Heights Citizens Association. Fancher serves as chairman of the 36-member Âé¶¹¹û¶³ School of Business Dean's advisory board.

Three Âé¶¹¹û¶³ business professors were also recognized for outstanding performance in various categories: Dr. Mary Ann Hocutt, excellence in teaching; Dr. James E. King, outstanding scholarship; and Dr. Jennings Marshall, distinguished service.
