Scarlett Beacham Stewart of Orlando, Fla., has been elected president of the Student Government Association at Âé¶¹¹û¶³. A junior journalism and mass communication major, she was elected by vote of the undergraduate student body to serve during the 2000-2001 academic year.

Other newly-elected Âé¶¹¹û¶³ student executive council officers are Shamik Suresh Vakil of Adairsville, Ga., first vice president; Ginger Nelle McCarthy of Florence, second vice president; and Jason Powell Jeffreys of Brandon, Miss., treasurer.
