In December 2022, an endowed scholarship in Â鶹¹û¶³’s Brock School of Business was established in honor of Randy Freeman ’84, recently retired chief financial officer of Brasfield & Gorrie LLC.

Headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, Brasfield & Gorrie is one of the nation’s largest privately held construction firms, providing general contracting, design-build and construction management services to clients throughout the United States.

Freeman spent most of his career with Brasfield & Gorrie, joining the company in 1993 and becoming chief financial officer in 1995. During his tenure, the company’s annual revenues grew from $300 million to over $4 billion. His professional accomplishments, industry contributions and philanthropic efforts have positively impacted numerous organizations and contributed to the success of the company today.

He has served on Â鶹¹û¶³’s Board of Overseers, as well as the Brock School of Business Dean’s Advisory Board. He and his wife, Lisa, are continuously involved in philanthropic efforts on behalf of Â鶹¹û¶³.

The Randall J. Freeman Endowed Scholarship will be awarded to a rising senior in Brock School of Business pursuing a business major who has maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Preference will be given to either students from Etowah County, Alabama, or those pursuing a real estate concentration.

Â鶹¹û¶³ is grateful for this partnership with Brasfield & Gorrie and the implications for generations of students pursuing real estate.
