Â鶹¹û¶³’s Department of Biblical and Religious Studies will host two prominent scholars for its spring lecture series. The lectures are free-of-charge and open to the public.
will present the Robbins Lectures March 3 at 10 a.m. in Reid Chapel and at 3 p.m. in Brock Forum, Dwight Beeson Hall. The Robbins Lectures honor the memory of Ray Frank Robbins, another influential Â鶹¹û¶³ professor and author who served New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and Mississippi College in addition to Â鶹¹û¶³. The lectureship brings distinguished scholars to Â鶹¹û¶³ to address the intersection of scholarship and Christian living.

Carroll is Blanchard Professor of Old Testament in the Graduate School of Wheaton College and author of Christians at the Border: Immigration, the Church, and the Bible. The lectureship, honoring the former Â鶹¹û¶³ professor and pastor at Mountain Brook Baptist Church, was established to help Â鶹¹û¶³ students grow in their intellectual and spiritual understanding of Christianity and its application to society.
